The Ministry of Education have recently developed a comprehensive policy for Special Education which has a strong focus on including children with disabilities in the mainstream education system. Once this policy starts to be fully implemented it will help broaden the capacity of special education in Tonga beyond the current services provided by the Tonga Red Cross Society.
