Australian High Commission (AHC), Tonga

The AHC is a continuing sponsor of disability services in Tonga. Most recently, on the 23rd February 2005, the AHC presented NATA with funding to assist with the development and production of our latest information brocure, which can be viewed on the 'About' page.

On the same day the AHC also presented the 'Ofa Tui 'Amanaki Centre for Special Education with a cheque for TOP$4,000 to go towards the provision of specialised equipement for the children involved in the OTA programs. This will include specialised seating equipment, standing frames, and play equipment which will assist with the childrens' holistic development.

The AHC have also been generous donors to the National Disability Survey which is currently underway in Tonga . The AHC have provided the funds that will allow the survey to be conducted in the Ha’apai island group later this year.

British High Commission (BHC), Tonga

The BHC have been generous ongoing supporters of disability services in Tonga . Recent contributions have included a stereo to assist dance and movement therapy, a sand pit and a play gym with a slippery slide at the ‘Ofa Tui ‘Amanaki Centre.

The BHC have also provided funds to support the National Disability Survey being conducted in Niuafo’ou later in 2005.

German Consulate in Tonga

The German Consulate recently funded a technological upgrade for the OTA centre. They provided for 2 new computers one to be used by administrative staff, and the other for teaching purposes, along with 2 printers and a digital camera. This donation has allowed for improvements in the efficient administration of the centre, and proved to be a valuable and well loved learning tool for the children .

Government of Japan

The Government of japan has provided a number of resources for the 'Ofa Tui 'Amanaki Centre for Special Education, most recently a mini bus for the Hearing and Speech Impaired Unit.

Inclusion International

Inclusion International have provided ongoing support for the development of disability services in Tonga through supportive visits from their representative in Samoa, Mrs Donna Lene.

Inclusion International have also provided funds to support the disability survey’s development and successful pilot survey in 'Eua during March 2005.

New Zealand Aid

NZ Aid have been generous donors to the current National Disability Survey. They will provide the funds to enable to survey to be conducted in Tongatapu later in 2005.

 

The Way Funky Company

The ridiculously funky guys and girls at the Way Funky Company, home of Australia's best swimwear, have assisted NATA through their 'One Funky World' assistance program by constructing and hosting this website.
