NATA Beach Barbeque On 26th March 2005, NATA members organised a beachside barbeque in Tonga's capital, Nuku'alofa, to raise money for our application for membership to DPI, the leading International Disability Advocacy Organisation. This membership will help provide support in regards to training, networks and information. NATA also plans to use additional money raised to join the Tongan National Youth Congress as a step towards mainstreaming disability groups into mainstream Tongan society. Many people from the community pledged their support to this fundraising effort and provided good encouragement for the important work that NATA is doing. |
